I have been awarded a Fulbright! So I’m living and teaching in Norway for the 2025-2026 school year! While here, I’m facilitating workshops on American culture for middle and high school students and developing professional learning sessions for secondary English teachers, teachers-in-training (aka preservice teachers), and their teachers. Teachers and I are also co-designing workshops for their students and for their own professional learning. As I learn more about Norway, their educational system, and teacher preparation, I’m looking forward to doing some comparative work on how our contexts and histories shape how we teach and teach about teaching.
A few students and colleagues and friends have asked if I’m going to record my experiences, and I thought I’d do so in this blog!
Each week in my own personal journal I’m going to reflect on
- three things I’m learning about myself,
- three things I’m learning about Norway, and
- three things I’m learning about teaching and learning.
And each week I’ll pick one or two of those things to share publicly on the blog!
If you’re so moved and have a follow-up question to my musings, I’m happy to chat! Drop me a note at naitnaphitlimlamai@gmail.com.
Thanks for reading and for being curious about what I’m up to this year.
